Braised Pork Bihun ~ The Lazy Way.

Mamarazzi was feeling lazy again.....dig dig in the fridge...found some vegetable turning yellow....hmm....fry bihun for dinner la...

Fast fast chopped some onions......Hmm.....freezer no more chicken or pork...no meat how ah...

Dug in the cabinet...found a can of pork slices with Perserved Vegetable...She recalled someone blogged about Braised Pork Bihun...

Hmm...maybe will work la...

Soak a packet of Bihun.

Opened the can of meat...There was around 3-4 slices of meat in it with a lot of preserved vegetables.

But surprisingly taste good wor.....no need to add anymore salt when frying the bihun coz it's salty enough already.

Yums.....

Mamarazzi said she will be "lazy" more often lor.

  5. Wah, home cooked meals.. Long time never read home cooked meals liao.. I get excited reading what mamarazzi cooks.. I like, coz always very simple, ngam sai ngor, I'm also very lazy ga, but still need to whip up simple lunch for Kz on weekends, especially Saturdays coz hubby working..

Eh, then canned meat not cheap one la.. One can about RM10 leh.. I forgot what it's called in cantonese, but I "mm seh tak" buy coz it's not cheap..

So you just campak the whole can (with oil) inside and gaul together? Or you fry your bihun the dry style (put oyster sauce, pepper) then only put the canned meat on top?

Nice la your bihun.. I also usually cook simple noodles for Kz on Saturday lunch.. Either yee mein, or bihun or noodles.. With soup, some vegetables (which he doesn't touch), meatballs and crack an egg, that's all.. lazy & simple, hehe..

  13. Mamarazzi has always been lazy, but i love it when Mamarazzi was lazy, because when that happened, Mamarazzi will be able to come out with, surprisingly, very impressive cookings that only required simple steps and simple ingredients, or shall Uncle SK say, any ingredients (she may dug out from her kitchen).. :D

    ReplyDelete
  14. oh, Uncle SK super duper love fried bihun lah, any kind of fried bihun would do, just fried bihun itself with nothing else, or maybe with just some beansprouts or veggie will do, no need meat one also can lah.. and this time Mamarazzi "lazily" cooked braised pork bihun!! ah, reminds Uncle SK the ones he had at Pan Heong near Batu Caves!! LOIKE~~

  15. and then this one lagi best!! braised pork with preserved veggie, eih, that sounds nice to go with bihun dei.. how come nobody ever thought of it, but then found by the lazy Mamarazzi by accident?? hehehe.. wah, looks good woh the fried bihun, "ada papan ada mata" like that.. Uncle SK can imagine how delicious this dish was, and frankly, when it comes to fried bihun, Uncle SK "don't know full" one, can just eat and eat and eat.. and this small little plate, "wet wet water" lah, Uncle SK can have two plates, haha!!

  18. This way of frying bihun results in very tasty bihun because of the flavourful canned pork used. That's right, no need to put salt because the salt in the can is enough already. Yum yum!
