Afternoon Tea at Food Foundry, Petaling Jaya

Earlier this month Uncle Arthur came to KL for a short visit. That afternoon we went to his hotel to pick up some stuffs and at the same time to invite him out for tea.

We drop by the nearby Food Foundry for their Mille Crepe. It was our first time there too.

Mmm.....interesting. The Menu came in the form of a clipboard.

 Hmmm....what shall I have?

Which one is the Vanilla Crepe?

Oh....that one...hmmm....kinda expensive at RM9 a piece but kira okay la. Wanna taste a bit.

Not kitchen towel rack?

It's paper rack. For customer to tear out the paper and draw/write. They even provide color pencils.

Fresh Gourmet Popsicle - WaterLemon Fizz. Not your usual RM1 Ice cream Potong. This litle baby cost RM5.

Posing for for Auntie Mandy

This is the only nice shot of me which Mamarazzi got after dozens of ugly ones.

Here comes the Mille Crepe. We ordered two piece. One Vanilla and one Mango.

The size were smaller that the ones at Nadeje but very light. Personally, Mamarazzi likes Mango best.

While the adults chatted, I went and play "driving" with Auntie Mandy.  I love this "table". Can turn into steering wheel one.

When Uncle Arthur say a BOX of things, he was not joking. He brought a long a HUGE box of stuffs. Some goodies for us and some for the rest of the gang

Wow...not only that we got Kompiah , Tee Peah(opps...should be chu-nu-miang as clarified by ARthur), Keropok, layer cake and even a gift for me but Uncle Arthur also tapau-ed.....

 KAMPUA!!!

These are special KAMPUA. It have liver, pork intestine and minced meat!

In the old days, people would write "Thank You Card" when received gifts. But in this internet era, I asked Papa to teach me how to write the word Thank You and MMS to Uncle Arthur. Unfortunately, Mamarazzi forgot to send out the MMS. Guess say thank you through blog also can, right?

Thank you very much Uncle Arthur for the gifts. And thank you Auntie Mandy for the afternoon tea.

P/S : If you ever go out makan with Auntie Mandy, make sure you pakat with the taukeh of the restaurant or else you won't have chance to pay at all. Her hands are REALLY fast!

  1. i like their chocolate mille crepe and chicken cordon bleu. they are rather on the pricey side though for my standards.

i'm a bigger fan of the restaurant opposite ff, called mm cafe. their brownies are rather expensive but damn they are really yummy with vanilla ice cream! i also love their spaghetti arrabiata and curry mee.

Yours different from the rest - went to the bakery round the corner as the one I/we went to - the kompia getting smaller, thinner and not so presentable. Iaste still good though,m that one. Tsk! 5. That sweeter version of kompia is called chu-nu-miang, not tee piang lah. In Foochow, chu-nu-ngiang means female...so maybe this one is female - so soft and sweet and smooth...whereas the kompia is male - hard, tough, poke-faced and tasteless....but NICE!!!! LOL!!!!

    These are tee piang...

  17. Something I found out - the mille crepes in Huckleberry Cafes at Bangsar and Pavilion Times Bookstore outlets? They're also from Food Foundry and they're about RM10 a slice. 30% discount on all cakes after 6 p.m... at least I remember in Bangsar.

In case you ever find yourselves at one... just saying.

  31. I am very surprised that it was your first trip and you could think of bringing STP there. I have been there a number of times and liked the food quality and specialities that change from time to time.
I am still curious who are the bosses as they landed themselves into hot soup when they newly opened. I happened to be in their mailing list when they opened their doors. I was taken aback to see my personal email inside the cc along with over a hundred big shots in KL. Later one or two fellas scolded them for sending emails to everyone weekly with email addresses exposed. Sure it attracted me to visit that place to eat. Till today I have been curious who are the bosses though the spam emails have stopped. Nice quiet place!
